Japan Beverage Industry "Reduce" initaitives and results

Target Date and Target Content
Working together with Liaison Committee of Associations Promoting 3R and The Council for PET Bottle Recycling, the industry has reduced weight of each PET Bottle by 27.6％ in 2022 compared to 2004. The reduction target for 2021-2025 is more than 25% compared to 2004, and we will continue to promote PET Bottle material reduction.

The Japan beverage industry deems imperative that "Reduce" efforts be made in parallel with the promotion of recycling.
Specific achievements an/or Target
A 27.6％ of weight reduction has been achieved in 2022 compared to 2004. Basically we achieved initial 2022 reduction target.
