Japan Partnership for Circular Economy website and Noteworthy Cases brochure in English now available
The Japan Partnership for Circular Economy (J4CE) website and a brochure entitled “Noteworthy Cases 2021” are now available in English, featuring a wide variety of initiatives on the circular economy by Japanese companies and organisations.

To mark the launch of this website, here is a brief outline of the history of J4CE so far.
2021.1.20 Ministry of the Environment and Keidanren agreed to establish Circular Economy Partnership
At a dialogue held between Mr. Shinjiro Koizumi (Minister of the Environment) and Keidanren, the Japan Business Federation, an agreement was reached to establish the Circular Economy Partnership as a public and private partnership to further accelerate circular economy initiatives in Japan.
2021.3.2 Japan Partnership for Circular Economy founded
The Japanese Ministry of the Environment (MOE), Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and Keidanren jointly founded the Japan Partnership for Circular Economy (J4CE). On the same day, a declaration was made at the Japan Circular Economy Roundtable co-hosted by World Economic Forum (WEF) and MOE, to promote a circular economy through public and private partnership.
2021.4.30 More than 100 companies and organizations now participating in J4CE
A call for participation in J4CE began in March, and already by the end of April, we received applications from 100 companies and organizations. The call for participation is still open.
