description of technology and business model
We took the lead in developing a methodology to calculate the recycling effect of steel scrap into an international standard (ISO 20915) in cooperation with worldsteel, and into a domestic standard (JIS Q 20915) in cooperation with the Japan Iron and Steel Federation.
We submit the environmental impact data (Life Cycle Inventory) of our steel products based on the above standards to worldsteel and the The Japan Iron and Steel Federation, and have contributed to the establishment of their LCI databases for a wide range of product types.
achievements and targets
We have disclosed theLCI of our products under EcoLeaf certification (first time in the brst blast furnace steel producers in japan) to meet the requests for the data by steel cusumers.
We are explaining LCA through videos and learning cartoons to promote understanding of LCA among a wide range of people.
