Technology and business model

Fiber fragment generated during washing is considered one of the causes of microplastics.

Brushed products such as fleece used for autumn / winter clothing are materials with a structure that tends to generate fiber fragment, especially when washing.

Our microplastic countermeasure for apparel textile structure uses polyester filaments to form a lightweight and bulky structure without brushing. Therefore, it is a material that can suppress the generation of fiber fragment during washing. At the same time, it has a structure that does not impair the texture and heat retention of the brushed process. Furthermore, by combining with special functional fibers and structures, it is possible to add functionality such as sweat absorption and quick drying, and prevention of unpleasant sticky feeling and sweat chilling when sweating.

Features of " DELTAPEAK™ TL"

A fabric that combines excellent functionality with a new feel due to its excellent water absorption and soft texture like a towel, and its ultra-lightweight. Compared to fleece, fiber fragment during washing is reduced to one-third.

Features of " DELTAPEAK™ FM"

A new synthetic sweat fabric with excellent texture, physical properties, and functionality due to a special 4-layer structure with an insertion thread added to the 3-layer nodular structure. Compared to fleece, fiber fragment during washing is reduced to a quarter.

Features of " Thermo Fly™"

An environment-friendly and comfortable heat-retaining fabric that combines heat retention and sweat treatment through the fusion of non-brushed brushed structure and Octa™ technology. Compared to fleece, fiber fragment during washing is reduced to half.

(* Measurement method for the amount of laundry fiber fragment: Based on our original measurement of material weight loss during washing)

Achievements and goals

Cumulative sales of textile structural materials for clothing as a measure against microplastics since 2015 are 1 billion yen.
