We advocate “car triage,” a system to maximize the value of damaged vehicles by selecting the most appropriate treatment method according to the condition and age of the damaged vehicle. “Triage” refers to the concept of prioritizing treatment in order to provide the best possible care for the many injured victims of disasters, etc.“car triage’ applies this concept to the reuse of damaged vehicles. We classify damaged vehicles into three categories: restoration use, parts use, and material use, and have realized a treatment method that maximizes the value of damaged vehicles in any condition.
